The way that players follow this plotline is supposedly by going to the ends of the Tree of Life’s five major roots. There, players have to battle monsters and clear up the oil that’s poisoning the Tree. This plot layout rings a bell—it sounds a lot like Paper Mario: The Origami King. That kind of overlap is probably coincidental, though, and it’s totally harmless. The structure that The Origami King and Biomutant use is a classic kind of video game storytelling, and it just so happens that these games did it in a very similar way....
Biomutant looks to learn from the open-world games from the past and build on them. Its character creator looks quite impressive, as does the amount of stat customization. There has been a clear effort to ensure that a lot of varied gameplay options are available, and that they look a lot more stylish than some other open-world games. It remains to be seen how fleshed-out the world is when the player is actually exploring it, but the many different transportation methods shown in trailers do inspire hope on that front....
The fun aspect about melee builds is that players get to vanquish their opponents by swinging ridiculously large weapons at them, or stab them with extremely tiny blades. Not only that but also the fact that melee in Biomutant feels really good when using weapons that are affected by one of the game’s hazards, meaning Cold, Fire, Biohazard, and Radiation. These weapons can deal massive amounts of base damage, only to top them off with cool effects and even more damage with a few side effects for the enemies they hit....
