Now, in celebration of Mass Effect: Legendary Edition’s impending release, Electronic Arts has released a tool that allows players to make customizable wallpapers and box arts for the game. This Mass Effect: Legendary Edition artwork creator lets players edit in their favorite characters, locations, and even their choice of morality.

The tool can be found on EA’s official website for Mass Effect: Legendary Edition via a tab on the navigation bar at the top of the page. With this tool, players are first asked to choose which Mass Effect morality alignment they prefer, through Paragon, Renegade, or a mix of the two. Choosing this setting will change the overall background color of the artwork, with Paragon offering a deep blue color, while Renegade offers a fiery crimson. Choosing a mix of the two will split the colors, with blue on the left and red on the right. Click here to use the tool.

Next, players have the option to choose their favorite squadmates, which will feature those two characters prominently at the top of the artwork. Next, players can choose their most trusted Mass Effect companion, which puts the character next to the game’s logo. Then, players are asked to choose three characters to make up the cavalry, which will place those characters prominently at the bottom of the artwork. Players then choose the last of the characters they want to appear as the backups, which fill in the empty space left in the artwork.

Finally, players are able to choose the location they desire, including Mass Effect’s iconic Citadel, the Collector Base, Eden Prime, Invaded Citadel, and Omega. This choice will adorn the bottom of the artwork’s background. After the artwork has been fully customized, players can choose to download their artwork in three different formats. They can share it on social media, download it as a 4K resolution wallpaper, and even download it as a full box art for both the PS4 and Xbox One. The box art option comes complete with back of the box information, decorated spine, and the custom artwork from and center on the front of the box.

Additionally, players even have the option to edit the artwork they’ve made by category and auto-create random artwork. Overall, the tool is robust yet simple, and offers players an awesome way to celebrate the release of this new collection. With Mass Effect: Legendary Edition and other major releases such as Resident Evil Village and Biomutant releasing this month, May 2021 is shaping up to be the best month for video games this year.

Mass Effect: Legendary Edition releases May 14 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
