There’s a ton to do in Biomutant, but one of the best ways to get XP is to complete quests and side quests. These award a nice chunk of XP upon completion, but players will inevitably run out of these. Eventually, the best path to maximum level will just be grinding XP from enemies or from whatever repeatable quests there are.

Unfortunately, the maximum level of Biomutant is as of yet unknown. It doesn’t seem as though there’s been any official news about what the maximum level is, and if any players have managed to hit it already then they haven’t posted about it on any prevalent online forums. Speculation places the highest possible maximum level for the game at 227, a number based on math and the way leveling up increases the player’s stats. That said, it’s highly likely that the cap will be lower than this and that players won’t be able to max out all stats.
Players start off with 140 points of stats at level 1, forming the starting point for these calculations. Each of the six stats seems to cap out at 400, meaning if players were able to max out every stat in the game they would need to gain 2,260 stat points (6 x 400 = 2400 | 2400 - 140 = 2260). Since players get ten stat points every time they level up, that would equal out to 226 level up opportunities, or level 227 as the maximum after taking into account level 1. This is all assuming that players can level up infinitely until they reach the cap, however, and it is widely believed that this is not the case.
Once a bold player manages to reach the level cap in Biomutant, this article will be updated to show the accurate information. This may be a bummer for players that wanted to know just how rough the grind would be before committing to doing it, but it’s also exciting because it means that any player could be the first to do it.
Biomutant is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
