Players will come across these Boomhuts regardless of which tribe they pick at the beginning of the game. Biomutant players will even have to deal with them several different times, so it comes in handy to know how to quickly and easily dispatch them.

In order to destroy a Boomhut, players need to hit the grenade that it shoots right back at it. Players can do this by standing still and facing the Boomhut while it prepares to fire. Right before the grenade hits, press the melee button to deflect it back. This will send it careening into the bunker and destroy the Boomhut altogether. Time slows down slightly and there is a melee button prompt on the bomb, so this may help players that find themselves struggling with the process.
In the event that the player misses or swings too early or too late, it’s important to try and dodge out of the way. These explosives are no joke, and players won’t want to get hit by more than a few of them in a row. There doesn’t seem to be any other way to destroy them, as weaponry, mutation abilities, and even Psi abilities don’t seem to have any effect whatsoever. At some point, players may be tasked with sabotaging the Boomhuts rather than destroying them outright, and this process is much easier. Players will find a red valve that supplies fuel to a fire. Turning this will sabotage the Boomhuts, but they’ll need to be careful to avoid the fire while they are at it.
It’s somewhat odd that Biomutant didn’t see fit to provide a tutorial on how to deal with these Boomhuts, instead making it come off more like a puzzle than anything else. Regardless, with this knowledge and a little bit of practice, players shouldn’t have any more trouble destroying Boomhuts.
Biomutant is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
